Rob and I were married in 2003. Between us, we have eight children and now have twelve grandchildren.

In 1996, my husband Jack Higbee died. During those first years following his death, I slowly began a new life as a single woman. It seemed a strange world to me as we had been married for thirty-nine years and had raised four children who now were busy with their own lives.

Writing prose and poetry was a way of coping with my sorrow. I was encouraged to create a book after sharing my writing with the local Hospice and friends.

Due to a celebration for my high school, I reunited with my first boyfriend, Rob Reginato who was also widowed.
